SPECIAL RESPONSE TEAM
  The mission of the Special Response Team is to bring successful conclusion to high risk situations through the use of specially equipped and highly trained personnel without injury or loss of life to citizens, suspects, or police officers.

  The Franklin Police Department's Special Response Team (S.R.T.) consist of a group of dedicated and motivated officers who are trained in the use of special tactics and elevated firearms training for the purpose of handling high risk situations.  These include, but are not limited to, barricaded suspects, hostage takers, high risk warrant service, active shooter situations or other situations requiring advanced weapon and tactical training experience.  This team is also trains in tactical and covert surveillance techniques.
