reserves

We at the Franklin Police Department are very proud of our Reserves. Those in the Reserves volunteer their time to assist our department in many ways. Not only do they handle special security details such as sports activities, school functions, parades, and such.... there are some who can't resist hitting the roads to assist on patrol. There are even some that seem to go to sleep with their radios just waiting for the next call. Our department trains these officers at the Reserve Academy. They go through the same type of training as our full time officers. They must meet all State requirements in firearms, chemical weapons (pepper spray), ASP, and others.
